Lost Voyages: Two Centuries of Shipwrecks in the Approaches to New York
Published in Paperback by Aqua Quest Pubn (April, 1998)
Author: Bradley Sheard
Average review score:

Another of New York's Finest!
"Two centuries of Shipwrecks in the Approaches to New York" it says on the cover - and that just about says it all. They include HMS Culloden - lost off Long Island in 1781 and the USS San Diego - a four-funnelled armoured cruiser and the only major US Warship lost during WW1. There are tankers and freighters and even one or two U-Boats that sank some of them. There are Cruise Liners from the earliest days of passenger travel, right up to the Andrea Doria - still so sleek and beautiful, it really is hard to believe she was lost in 1956 - almost 50 years ago already!

Lost Voyages is paperback measuring approx. 11½ in x 8½ and filled with over 200 pages of detailed information, historic photographs, underwater photographs, sketches, maps and sectional drawings. Expertly crafted, the book is laid out from the earliest days of America - as a fledgling nation, at Sea right up to the present. With chapters dedicated to; Wooden Warships, Sailing Merchant Ships, the Ascendancy of the Steamship, Ships that ran Aground, the 1914-1918 War, Between the Wars, WW2 and the Era of Modern Navigation, this is a fascinating voyage through the Shipwrecks of time in this one small corner of the world.

The layout, and combination of historic and up-to-date information have been engineered in such a way as to provide the reader with a fascinating insight into the maritime casualties off one major American seaport.

From a Scuba Diver's perspective, these shipwrecks are easily "New York's finest" making this an essential addition to any bookshelf. Once read by any diver - even if you don't live in New York, you just know you will "have" to dive some of these wrecks - someday...

Lost Voyages
I think this has to be one of the best shipwreck books I have ever read. Not only does it give detailed accounts of the events leafing up to and including the sinkings, it's packed full of maps, photos, evn drawings of the present state of the wrecks. I think this is probably a must-read.

invaluable information
This book not only contains information that the average layman wouldn't know but it actually made arrangements for my and my husbands final disposition. It actually took us through our funeral arrangements and we knew what the cost was going to be before we chose our funeral home of choice. This book explains what all the costs are and how to save a lot of money. It also covers costs involved for cremation and several other options. It even has forms that cover all of the information needed by the funeral director. If you don't want to leave a heavy burdon on your loved ones shoulders I highly recommend this book, this book may also be used for a loved one and not just for yourself. It has forms to record everything.

The Greatest book out there for the future be prepared!
This book is one of the most informative books ever on the topic of how to prepare for a loved one's funeral.I recently lost my sister and didn't know the first thing about burials. This book helps all those out there who like me didn't until that tragic event happens to you.
It also give's you help on cost and very good info on alot of things. Like God forbid I lost my husband! I didn''t know that the V.A would give us a complete burial for both of us at NO COST. Now where else would you find this out at.People at funeral home don't ever offer this advise.
I think anyone and everyone should be prepared for what we all know is going to happen sooner or later. I suggest everyone out there get this book ASAP. It's a must read full of great and helpfull idea's for one to put to use.It will help those like me
that don't have alot of money. This book helps you get through it all.
The author really did his homework on this book.
Go get this book before it's to late! God bless all and hopefully you'll be prepared not like me I wasn't.
Thanks for reading my review.

Nothing but Trouble (Scarlet Series)
Published in Mass Market Paperback by London Bridge Mass Market (June, 1998)
Author: Laura Bradley
Average review score:

Wonderful Characters
A wonderful book to read with great characters you don't easily find in any romance novels. Caroline Scarsdale was a wealthy socialite, a perfect daughter and a perfect wife. Then her husband was killed and she was accused of a murder. She went to prison for a murder she didn't commit. Three years later Caroline was released and ready to face a new life with a new name. But then Carly (that's her new name) met the Representative Brand Langley who intruded her life by making her falling in love with him. He's a man who need a clean life to make it all the way to Governor's chair while she's an ex con which means she'll give him nothing but trouble. Could they really be together?

An intriguing read that won't let you go!!!!
A page turner from the very beginning that will grip you till the end. The book not only delves into social issues, but explores the lives of two people who've faced adversity. Though their experiences have left them scarred, they do not allow it to break them, but make them.

A great read for fans of suspense and romance.

A Parody of Myself
Published in Paperback by Infinity Publishing.com (06 January, 2003)
Author: Mark C. Bradley
Average review score:

A Great Read
A wonderfully comforting collection of emotions and metaphors. Highly recommended.

A parody of himself or all of us?
There isn't much about this book that doesn't speak for itself. Though told in verse form, it is a story. A story of life, death, love, fear, wonder, and occasionally, just plain silliness. Through it, you start to get a picture of the writer: a deep, quiet, but quirky young man with an extraordinary talent. He takes you by the hand and invites you to step inside his world, one poem at a time, one word at a time, as he parodizes himself, and, through himself, every person who has ever looked at the moon and thought of someone they love.

Super Book
This book is exciting. Excellent choice for a classroom library. Readers will find it hard to put down until the very end.

It reminds me of myself
I liked this book a lot because it had to deal with a skateboarder, and it took place in Virginia. Another reason why I liked it is because Kevin does most of the stuff I like to do. He plays paintball, which I do a lot. He skateboards, which I do all the time. Also, the place that it took place, Virginia, is where my mom's whole side of the family lives. And I have skateboarded there too.

Rape and Ritual: A Psychological Study
Published in Paperback by Inner City Books (December, 1982)
Authors: Bradley A. Tepaske, A. Te Paske Bradley, and Bradley A. Te Paske
Average review score:

A Brave Subject
Dr. TePaske's book is an excelent study of the archetypal meaning of rape and ritual. Few if any Jungain analysts have approched this topic. This work is penetrating and rich in myth. How important it is to understand the collective and historical meaning of this subject.

excellent book - uncomfortable subject
this book is a facinating study into a subject most people find difficult to think about. through dreams, myth, and clinical studies it confronts the problem of rape and yet goes beyond that to find the archetype beneath it all. anyone interested in jungian psychology will find it very insightful.

Saving the World Entire: And 100 Other Beloved Parables from the Talmud
Published in Paperback by Plume (September, 1998)
Authors: Bradley N. Bleefeld and Robert L. Shook
Average review score:

This is a great book
This is one of my favorite books. It's ancient wisdom which serves as a map to how to live a good life. But it doesn't tell you what to do. It leads you there. Short commentaries after each little story from the rabbi/author make the book even better. There's something about this little book that I just find satisfying, like a good, home-cooked meal. The book is a snapshot of what Judaism can do for people. Judaism is not just about ritual. It's not just about using an occasional Yiddish word or eating a bagel and lox. Judaism can also teach us lessons for better living, and this book is a great way to get started with that aspect of the faith. I've never met Rabbi Bleefeld but I'd like to take this opportunity to thank him for the book. Thank you, rabbi.

Talmudic Wisdom
This is a lovely little book. I have started giving it to bar and bat mitzvahs (along with a more substantial or "cool" gift), and the kids have all really enjoyed it. Each parable is a 1 or 2 page mini-story, and then comes a very brief interpretation. All provide insight and wisdom that is applicable in today's world, although they may require thought. Even those that are transparent engender thought. It is the sort of book that a 10 year old can read and benefit from, as well as an adult. Rereading brings more insights.

Highly Recommended by Scleroderma from A to Z ("sclero.org")
Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease that can cause a hardening of the skin, blood vessels, and internal organs. Although there is no proven treatment or cure for scleroderma, there are still plenty of things you can do to treat the individual symptoms and to combat the effects of it.

When systemic scleroderma begins to affect your hands and/or face, get this book immediately and begin the exercises, hopefully under the guidance of a physical or occupational therapist.

Although this slim paperback was published in 1994, it remains as the best resource for learning how to do maintain and improve flexibility when systemic scleroderma is causing a swelling or hardening of the hands and/or face.

When the swelling begins in the hands it is very important to get this book and to see an occupational therapist right away. They can: • Instruct you in how to do the exercises in this book. • Make splints to help shape the hands into the best possible position in the event that they continue to harden. • Try wax treatments, which may relieve pain and improve circulation and flexibility.

There are arthritis and scleroderma support groups worldwide -- both online and in your country -- where you can find comfort, information, and support. Get involved in them so that you can learn the best ways to cope with scleroderma!

Some Assembly Required

Author: George Bradley

Poetry's best kept secret
After four dazzling books, George Bradley is one of the best kept secrets in contemporary American poetry. A writer whose subjects range from science and philosophy to Renaissance art and everyday life, he writes beautiful, funny, and extremely smart poetry. Try "How I Got in the Business" for a hilarious narrative that parallels the poetry biz with raising and producing olive oil for a mafia family. This poem is the author's second Georgic (his first was "A Georgic for Doug Crane," which told in equally funny detail how to raise, press, and bottle grapes). In both, the laughter gives way to reflection, and ultimately, beauty by the end. It's Bradley's signature gesture--the sudden turn from irreverence to lyric grace. Here, he pulls the trick off again and again: in shorter poems, like "A Poet in the Kitchen" and "My Poem Meets Tamerlane," as well as in the gorgeous sonnet sequence on the turn of the seasons, "A Year in New England."

Did you think you had a great vocabulary?
Just wait until you read George Bradley. He's standing on the shoulders of Webster's Unabridged. He picks great words and then darn if he doesn't know how to put them together. If you've got your heart set on reading poetry that will give you chill-bumps, this book is the one to buy.
